I was just listening to Phillip Torrone talk about his idea for a Mutant Olympics on a podcast from http://www.engadget.com
I won’t go into the details, but basically imagine a version of the Olympics that is open to anyone, and it doesn’t matter if your juiced up on roids, bionic arm, whatever. Anything goes.
Reminds me of an old Saturday Night Live sketch. |

I was writing a much longer post about using the Testdriven.net add-in for Visual Studio, but I realized that a lot of they text I was typing was trying to make use of hyperlinks and because of that lots of quotes and other nice characters that you cannot just dump into an insert statement and save to the server.
I really need to write a web log poster.
Maybe this weekend.
If I do, you can be sure that I’ll be including some unit tests. Those unit tests will be easy to use because of Testdriven.net. Go over to http://www.testdriven.net and check it out. I just started using it today (I’ve been using nUnit for quite a while) and it just rocks. It doesn’t do much for me for outright running all of my tests. But when I want to run one test or just start debugging a test, this add-in really shines. No more attaching to the debugger. Just right-click and go. It rocks.
Go check it out.

yep, today I am one year older. 30 years young! I did notice that when I woke up this morning my back was quite sore. I guess it is all downhill from here.... |

November 10th 1775 ...That two Battalions of Marines be raised consisting of
one Colonel, 2 Lt. Colonels, 2 Majors, and Officers
as usual in other regiments, that they consist of an equal number
of privates with other Battalions, that particular care be taken
that no person be appointed to Officer or enlisted in said Battalions,
but such as are good seamen, or so aquainted with maritime
affairs as to be able to serve to advantage by sea. |

So I have been playing around with the Tablet
PC SDK a lot lately. It’s pretty damn nice. Makes me wish
that I had bought a convertible laptop. I’ve got the speech SDK as
well, but I haven’t had a chance to play with it much.
Tonight I finished watching the boxed set of Band of Brothers.
That is a kick ass mini-series! I got this set from the library.
I’ll have to buy it though. I can see myself wanting to watch it
every now and then.
So while I was all immersed in watching the movie, I was
thinking that I still need to put together a shadow box of my awards and
medals. Not wanting to run out and find a hobby shop at 10:00 at night, I
decided to throw together a virtual shadow box. Here’s what I came up
with. |
