Either there isn't a whole lot going on for me to write about.....or there is so much going on that I don't have time to write about it. I haven't figured it out yet. Right now, I'd have to blame it on the fact that every evening I sit on the couch, watch the Olympics and fall asleep. Only a couple of more days and I can break that addiction.
I stumbled upon the Oregon Blogs site. I don't read them as much as I check out the pictures down the right hand column. I've managed to grab a couple of desktop images from that list.

The title of the last post mentioned peaches, and then I never mentioned them in the actual post. Maryhill has some great peach orchards all around it. It's a good place to go if you are looking from some fresh peaches (or plums, or corn, or berries...) |

So I posted that blurb about trying to debug with sql, and I haven't touched the subject since. I guess things are running just about normal around here.
Went camping at Maryhill Sate Park this past weekend. Two things that really stick in my mind after we got back. 1. Sometimes the Columbia River can be really nice to ski on. That far up the river, the water can be completely flat. Not nearly as choppy as it gets down near Portland. 2. Camping in 100+ degree weather blows.
and a bonus number 3. A melted chocolate bar, refrozen in the cooler, still tastes pretty damn good. |

You know, every article I can find on-line that talks about debugging a stored proc from Visual Studio makes it sound easy as hell. Too bad it doesn't seem to work so easily for me. Visual Studio is on my pc. SQL Server is on my pc. Debugging is turned on in my project. So what the hell?
Hmmm....
I'm thinking that I need to flip a flag on SQL Server somewhere. I'll be damned if I can find it though. |

I haven't been posting much lately. I've been trying to do some more work on Flashtastic, as well as rewriting the software that this blog runs on to something that I am making myself. Not that .Text doesn't do what I want it to do. I just want to use something that I've written myself....and something a little more basic. Plus I want to make a type of photo-blog feature in it as well. All that, and the fact that the weather has been really warm recently have kept me pretty quite on this site.
I just got done reading the Ten Must-Have Tools Every Developer Should Download Now article on MSDN. I wanted to note that here so that I will know where to look to easily find it a month from now. |
