I finally got around to giving toonlet a whirl.  I wish that I could figure out how to resize or move that word bubble.  It appears that sometimes I talk out of my eye.  Also, I can't figure out how to (or if you even can) add text in other places.  Like say on the shirt.  Anyway, here's my freshman attempt:

Indy. One year later

BoyOfTheYear - normal: SWEET! THAT'S WHERE I LIVE! 2001: PORTLAND OREGON VOTED BEST PLACE TO LIVE. BoyOfTheYear - normal: SWEET! I JUST MOVED HERE LAST YEAR! 2008. HAMILTON COUNTY INDIANA VOTED BEST PLACE TO RAISE A FAMILY. BoyOfTheYear - scared: [GULP] INDIANAPOLIS, JULY 11TH. 12 HOMICIDES IN THE LAST 9 DAYS... BoyOfTheYear - disgusted: GUESS THE HONEYMOON IS OVER.

On Twitter, Lyza put up a comment about Dire Straits: Brothers in Arms.  I don't know how many times I listened to that tape.  The only thing that stopped me was the fact that it finally broke.  Thinking about led to (as it so often does) YouTube.

Clifford Stoll gave this TED Talk a little over two years ago.  I just found it today.  I don't agree with everything that he says, but he makes very valid points.  If you haven't seen it yet, you should find 18 minutes and watch it.  It will be worth it.

After attending Tech Ed 2008 last week, my family and I stayed in Orlando for a couple of days and tried to jumpstart the economy by visiting Disney World.  At Hollywood Studios it was a Star Wars weekend.  What that means is parades, photo ops, plenty to buy....and yes, a dance competition.

Quite a while ago now, Marq and I were having a conversation about some pictures on flickr and how someone (or many people, I forget) had "favorited" a picture that he had of feet.  After far too many jokes about feet, footr was born.  The pictures are usually safe for work.  But every now and then you get one popping up that you really shouldn't be looking at.

After over a month of radio silence, I'm just posting to share this golden oldie:

I just noticed this morning that my spell checker wasn’t working (outlook and word) in 2007. I googled around and it only seems to happen when you upgrade, not for a fresh install.

I don’t know how many misspellings I’ve been sending out for the past two weeks since I upgraded. I’m too horrified to even think about it. If you find yourself in the same boat, this was the fix that I found:

In your registry settings delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing Tools\1.0

That seemed to fix everything.

For the record, I did run the MS Office Diagnostics tool first. But that didn’t fix the problem.
